American Beauty Book Cover

This project was based on manipulating Typography to create an image for a book cover. I chose a film and created a book based on the film. Research into images associated with the film as well as learning new techniques to manipulate font and type. The front cover reads 'There's so much beauty in the world' the iconic line for American Beauty.

I created petals on illustrator and patterned them and added them to my front cover as well as used the bath scene as inspiration to show more skills with manipulating the Director's name into the shape. The most iconic moment in the film was the plastic bag and how it swept through the wind so I also created this bag with the help of a lot of tutorials on illustrator and added it to the back cover.
